1. Hi Diego, tell us a bit about yourself!
My name is Diego and I am 29 years old. Well I am Italian, and I like playing sports, so you can guess I am rather tall, dark eyes and hair and I like laughing 😊. I work as engineer in Milan, but in my free time the mountains, my bicycle and my reflex camera are my best mates to get relaxed and enjoy the beauty of nature. Of course, my friends are very important too. I am friendly, but a bit stubborn. I tend to focus my energy on a target until I get it and if I do not get it, well I become sad.
2. Why did you decide to join Lokafy?
I decided to join Lokafy because I like spending time with people, especially with foreign people. I had already a few experiences as a guide with small groups of tourists or visitors at my university and I like Lokafy's idea. I like speaking a foreign language (I can speak English fluently and I can speak German and Swedish). It makes me feel like a citizen of the world.
3. What do you love most about your city?
Milan has changed a lot over the last 10 years. I like the big contrast between the historical Milan with its landmarks and fancy districts and the new business district with the tall skyscrapers. Milan is not as big as other famous cities in the world, however, there is a quarter for anyone's needs and the number of international shops, restaurants and companies is steadily increasing. One can see this change just by taking the underground or by walking in the city centre.
4. If someone comes to visit you, where would you take them to eat?
In Milan, there are many Italian and international restaurants, but for a typical "Milanese" lunch, I would recommend buying a "Panzerotto" at Luini and eating it at Duomo square. Of course, this would not be a comfortable lunch, but one would feel like a typical Milan citizen who eats quickly and it’s tasty.
5. When you're not working for Lokafy, what do you like to do for fun?
I like hiking, cycling and taking photos.
Thanks Diego for sharing with us about your city of Milan! We at Lokafy appreciate you so much!
