Osaka is the second largest metropolitan city after Tokyo. It is impossible to see and do everything that Osaka has to offer in a single visit. There are a lot of culturally relevant and fun activities to choose from in Osaka which will make travelling with kids an enjoyable experience. However, it is often difficult to find the right balance between cultural experiences and fun things to do. We have put together this guide to provide you with some ideas that should both be culturally relevant and exciting so that you and your kids can have a great time in Osaka.

Tempozan Ferris wheel- Osaka

1 . Tempozan Ferris Wheel

It's a 112-metre marvel in Tempozan Harbour Village which is one of the biggest Ferris whee's in the world. The view from the top of the tower is one of the most picturesque sights for children to see. It gets even better after dark when the lights of the harbour take over. You not only get the scenic view of Osaka city but might also see a glimpse of Kobe. The 15-minute ride is something kids will enjoy, but, You don't have to be a kid to enjoy it either. It's just as interesting for adults. You can easily reach this attraction by walking 5 minutes from the Osakako subway station.

Timings: 10 AM- 10 PM, last entry is 9:30 PM

Ticket: 800 Yen ( Age 3 and up)

2 .Osaka Science Museum

A great example of an educational site for children is this one. The Osaka science museum is primarily geared towards children, offering interactive exhibits about science, electricity, and chemistry. It can be a fun family outing for the entire family. There is also a planetarium within the museum with hourly shows, for which you would need to pay separately.

Timings : 9:30 AM to 17:00 (entry until 16:30)

3 . Hattori Ryokuchi Park

If you have kids who enjoy the outdoors, then a walk outdoors in this park can be a good idea. This scenic park is home to many activities from an open-air museum to the concert hall, tennis court and horseback riding, you can enjoy lots of different things in one place. This park is pretty famous among the locals as well as travellers due to the wide range of activities available to do.

4. Nishiki Beach

Nishiki beach, also known as Nishiki-no-Hama is a great alternative trip for when kids are tired of just doing tourist things. Nishiki which means two colours is home to the white sand beach and green pine groves. Building sandcastles, going in the water, barbecuing and picnics or just relaxing are some of the activities you can do. If you or your kid has some adrenaline rush, you can also enjoy the water sports offered.

5 .Go -Karting in Costume

This is a fun way to tour the city. Near Namba Station, you can dress up as a video game or anime character and drive a go-kart around the city. There is a safety lesson before you go, and it makes touring the city very enjoyable.

If you're a movie buff, you'll be thrilled to know that there is a Universal Studios in Osaka and an Orlando Wizarding World of Harry Potter-designed attraction. Apart from these, there are many other attractions based on films and anime like Super Nintendo World, Jaws, and more.

Timings: 8:30 or 9 a.m. and ending it between 7 and 10 p.m.
