As you exit the terminal and see many people, you’re probably wondering: how do I get to the main city? Don’t worry, we've got you covered!
Shuttle Buses/ Regular Buses
For example, regular buses No. 292 and No. 114, No. 23, No. 26, and No. 39 run during the day. Number 606 allows you to reach the city even at night. But the number 274 runs at any time of the day, but not on all days. Such a variety of options allows travelers to get to any corner of the city, from the center to distant suburbs. Fair price for an adult is 3.20 EUR.
Taxi/Private Transfer
Another option to travel to the center of Hamburg is a taxi. It will cost about 30 EUR. You can order it at the counter at the airport, or right at the exit from the terminal. Or if you'd like, you can book a private transfer prior to arriving in Hamburg and it will take you to your hotel.
Railroad train/ Subway
If the trip to the center is not so important for you, then the S-Bahn city train will take you to the Hauptbahnhof train station. The road will take about 25 minutes. The fare is 3.30 EUR. Transport stops are located right before the exit from the terminal. The waiting time for trains is 10-15 minutes.
