Public Transportation – Bus

Buses depart every 30 minutes outside the arrivals hall and terminate at Milano Centrale FS, which is the main railway station of Milan. Buses to and from Linate do not travel through the night. The first bus departs at 6:05 am and the last bus departs at 11:45 pm. A single fare is 5 euros and tickets are available for purchase on the bus.
Linate airport to Milan city centre is approximately a 20-minute journey by bus.

Great news: there is a public bus service from Linate airport to Piazza S. Babila. Bus 73 on the arrivals floor to Piazza S. Babila will take you to any point in Milan by metro.

A taxi at Linate Airport offers reasonable charges to the city centre. It is the most convenient mode of transportation, as it takes only 10 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxis are located right outside the arrivals terminal. Charges are on average 20 euros from Linate to the Milan City Centre.

The biggest difference between a taxi and a private transfer is that a private transfer is prebooked. A prebooked transfer between Linate Airport and Milan City Centre is as low as 50 euros and as high as 80 euros, depending on the capacity. It is a hefty price to pay, but if you are travelling with a group of people, it may be a convenient option.
