Noted! Stockholm, the World’s Longest Art Gallery in the World

The capital city of Sweden, with 14 islands and over 50 bridges, the city of Stockholm is an archipelago on the Baltic sea. But there’s more to the city than meets the eye.

The Stockholm metro started in the year 1950. An underground transit system, with 110 stations in use, with stations both underground and above the ground, this metro is one the world’s most gigantic art galleries. Showcasing artwork created by around 150 artists, this is considered to be the world’s longest art gallery. For the price of a metro ticket, you can see sculptures, mosaics, inscriptions, art, paintings, and various other artistic creations from the 1950s to the 2000s. The artwork is so extensive, that you can do a metro tour just to explore the subway art gallery!

Explore Stockholm with the metro and treat your eyes to this artistic underground.
