The cheapest way to get to Marrakech from Marrakech Menara Airport is to take the #19 bus from the arrivals hall. You can catch the bus between 06h15 and 21h30, every 30 minutes. The trip to the city takes approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. A one way ticket will cost 30 DH (approx. 8 USD), and a return ticket will cost you 50 dirhams (approx. 14 USD). These fares are both paid directly to the bus driver when you board. Some of the main stops along the route include Place Jemaa el Fna in the medina and the Marrakech train station in the new town. Typically, this is the main way people get into the city as it’s a quick and convenient option with little to no hassle.

If you have a large amount of luggage, arrive during the middle of the night or require direct transportation to your accommodations, a taxi is a great option. There are two kinds of taxis that you can take into the city based on the amount of people you have in your group. The first option is a Petite taxi, which can seat up to 3 people and should cost between 50-100 DH (approx. 14-28 USD). The second option is a Grande taxi, which can seat up to 6 people and will cost between 100-150 DH (approx. 28-40 USD). The trip to the city centre should take about 15 minutes, depending on where your final destination is. As with many other countries, before you enter a taxi at Marrakech airport, make sure you agree on a price with the driver to avoid any unpleasant surprises later. If the driver tells you they plan to charge a price you don’t feel comfortable paying, you can always try to bargain with them or simply move on to the next driver.
