Arriving in Ibiza – How to get from the Airport to the City Center

Congratulations! You have successfully landed at Ibiza Airport and I know you are excited to hit the white sandy beaches and get your party on but first, how do you get out from the airport to the city? Don’t worry, I’ve got your back. Here are your best options to get from the airport to the city of Ibiza.

The cheapest mode of transport from the airport to downtown Ibiza is the bus. The fare for a one-way ticket is roughly around 5.50 CAD which can directly be purchased on the bus. The bus (number L10) runs every 20-30 minutes departing from the airport itself. The travel time is about 20 minutes depending on traffic. The bus stops at multiple stops and the pickup is just outside the arrival terminal.

The most convenient mode of transport from the airport to the city is a taxi. The travel time is roughly 15 minutes with no traffic, and it takes you directly to your destination. Taxis are convenient but more expensive. The fare for a taxi ride from the airport to the city can cost you between 50 -55 CAD. During the summers the wait for a taxi could be longer. The taxi fare is charged by the meter and can be slightly more expensive during the night. The taxi service in Ibiza is known to be convenient and reliable.

Welcome Pickup Transfers

This service is similar to that of the taxi service, except that you can book for a pickup service from the airport well in advance before your trip. The drivers are well versed with the English language and will be waiting for you at the arrivals with a signboard that has your name on it. The cost is the same as that of a taxi. What’s more, the drivers are more than happy to give you recommendations on what to do while you’re in the city.  This a more relaxed mode of transportation from the airport to your destination.

To recap, the cheapest form of transport is the bus, taxis are convenient and welcome pickup transfers are relaxing and convenient and can be booked in advance.
