Antalya, also known as the Turkish Riviera, is located on Turkey’s Medditeranian coast. This city has an exciting heritage, being the home to various ancient archaeological sites, as well as beautiful beaches, and even thrilling ruins! There are activities for everyone to enjoy.

It is a perfect year-round adventure, with sunny summers and warm winters it is always the perfect time to visit this coastal pearl.

If you are looking for an unforgettable journey, Antalya is for you. We created a 24 hour itinerary to get the most out of your trip and fall in love with the city, let's go!

Start Your Day With a Real Turkish Breakfast

Turkish Breakfast

In Turkey, starting your day off with a big breakfast is a must! Kahvalti (meaning ‘before coffee’ or breakfast) is not just a necessity for Turkish people, but a cultural gathering with a variety of foods and tastes that make your mouth water the night before. The table is usually set with small-sized tableware and quick-bite portions, with a good cup of tea.

Some usual foods that appear on the table are jams and spreads, cheese, eggs, börek (a flakey pastry filled with cheese, meat, potatoes, or greens) and simit (a circular bread coated with sesame seeds).

To experience a great Turkish breakfast like a local, we recommend visiting Paşa Kır Bahçesi, a village restaurant located around 20 minutes from the center of the city. It houses guests in a traditional wooden house encompassed by nature. Enjoy exploring the forest and bazaar near the restaurant and feel like an Antalya local!

Explore the Neighbourhood of Kaleiçi

Antalya Neighbourhood

Kaleiçi is one of the historic centers in Antalya, showcasing the foundations of the city and fascinating Ottoman architecture. Wander around cobbled and narrow streets, taking in the beauty of the city’s wooden and old stone houses. You will come across many boutiques, alluring restaurants stretching into the streets, astounding galleries, and shops.

The main entrance to Kaleiçi is Hardian’s Gate, a monumental historical sight that is perfect for photographs. It was built in remembrance of Emperor Hardian’s visit to the city in 130 AD, when Antalya was formerly known as the ancient city of Attaleia. Once in the city make sure to visit Kesik Minare Cami, a Roman temple that was transformed into a Mosque in the 13th century, as well as Kırkmerdiven, famous ancient staircases that will connect you from the city to the seaside.

Visit the Stunning Duden Waterfalls

For those who want to experience the beauty of Antalya’s nature, the Duden Waterfalls are a must-see. The site features two waterfalls, the Upper Duden and Lower Duden; the Upper Duden falls from 20 meters, best observed through the caves beneath that also include a picnic area. The Lower Duden falls from an impressive 40 meters, creating mesmerizing water clouds that are best seen from a boat at sea.

These waters truly display Antalya’s heavenly flora and fauna and give you a nice breeze during summer weather!

For dinner there are many restaurants and bars nearby, with exquisite food that you can indulge in while admiring the dawning sunset. This experience will feel like a dream and serves as a great mark to the end of your journey.
